Someone suggested that I take an up close wide angle portrait wide open. I gave it a try with a Taylor-Hobson Cooke 8.25 Inch 4.5 Series II Aviar Lens. Next time I'll try using a Kodak Aero Ektar 7 Inch F2.5 lens since it covers 9x11 inches up close. This face is not edited, the black back has been crushed.

We've been working on image upsizing programs to make bigger images for printing. The one program we have finished fills in missing information with noise as it enlarges and does nothing else. The noise averages to the original image, so that if the image is downsized to the original it will be unchanged.

Well exposed LargeSense images tend to have very little noise. Here's a quote from someone looking at the 16 bit file:

“...your photos have no noise whatsoever. (which is a great thing, it can always be added afterwards )
Even Nikon photos on 200 iso have a bit of noise.”
“The Sony [A7s] is amazing indeed, but this is something else."

Another image at wide open f/4.5 at which it was not possible to get sharp.
