f/2.5 and Loving It (Pineapple up close)

Mar 21, 2016

I read about the photo "Potato #345" by Kevin Abosch which sold for a million Euros. So, I was thinking, I'll take a photo of a potato with a large format digital camera and give it away for free. My potato didn't look as interesting as Abosch's, so I asked my daughter to embellish it. What resulted I titled "The Most Interesting Potato in the World". Using the amazing Kodak Aero Ektar 7 Inch, it was able to cover the 9x11 inch sensor with a macro style shot. Then toned to Sepia in LightRoom.

But first I grabbed a pineapple at f/2.5:

Then I took an improved potato photo at f/16:160314_LS911-The-Most-Interesting-Potato-In-The-World_F16-16bit-Sepia_x1024.jpg

This post was called "The Most Interesting Potato in the World" but I changed it to "f/2.5 and Loving It (Pineapple Up Close)" as it seems more appropriate. It is hard to take f/2.5 photos with a 9x11 sensor.
